Allianz approached us with the challenge to engage their four key brands at the largest European Risk Management Conference and build upon the event taking place in their home city of Berlin. They needed a ‘big idea’ that would be impactful, engaging, and relevant beyond just the event itself.
The overall theme we focused on was ‘Explore With Us’ positioning Allianz as embracing future challenges and how they are investing in the future to understand risk better. This was deployed in a variety of physical and digital channels across a 3 month period leading up to the event and afterwards.
Overall, the campaign was a huge success attracting over 1500 people. The thought leadership, filming and social media provided a global platform for all content to be shared beyond the event. The branding and profile at the FERMA Forum positioned all of the brands together as a single strong, capable and innovative platform for current and future market needs.
With future technology being a focus of FERMA 2019 we positioned a collection of exciting Allianz ‘tech’ in prime locations for maximum audience impact. The Birdly Virtual Reality Simulator drew footfall right to the front of the booth and was a multisensory hit with enthusiastic participants. The LED tunnel continued the sensory reinforcement of the Allianz brand as people flowed between conference halls. Finally, on special loan there as was the addition of the of the Allianz’ sponsored Formula-E car and E-motorbike. An impressive testament to the Business’s commitment to sustainable technology in a sleek and powerful way.
Creating buzz before, during and after the event is, of course, fundamentally important. We generated lots of hype beforehand about the stand and related activity and posted regular updates of the event unfolding. People also really engaged with some of the props we created for selfies which were posted throughout the event all adding to the whole ‘Explore With Us’ theme.
It’s often the small things that stick in the mind – things you take for granted – like room keys at the Estrel hotel. We designed room keys, key holders and door-knob hangers that helped create a sense of anticipation ahead of the event.
The crowning glory of the day was the keynote evening reception at the Allianz Forum which overlooks the Brandenburg gate – featuring keynote speeches, live music and video presentations.
