Reflecting on AMRAE 2024, Deauville, France

Having returned from, (and now recovered from!) a very successful AMRAE ’24 – one which saw the brandformula Team deliver multiple booths and meeting rooms for clients, we reflect on the overall success of the event and the very evident need to network that this industry enjoys so much – the face-to-face connection.

AMRAE footfall increased to over 3700 attendees this year, continuing to increase year-on-year, and the depth of conversation and connections was clear to see throughout the 3 days.

Brandformula manages and delivers campaigns and events globally for clients in the global corporate/risk management and captive markets. At AMRAE we were proud to have helped our clients realise their opportunity to connect with their audience, driving their campaign messaging through this event. Clients looked to maximise the use of their booths with multiple zones to engage, inform and connect. Our campaign briefs were wide and varied but all enabled us to provide a very different look to the record number of booths and meeting rooms we delivered, uniquely promoting the client brands, but also providing comfortable space to engage and discuss their clients’ needs and challenges in depth, in casual spaces or private meeting rooms.

Design trends continue with the move to the use of content promotion tools – through screens and film, iPads, and touchscreens – ideal for showcasing client messaging and content. This allows for a much broader promotion of services, keeping the main display areas of the stand clear for brand identity, combined with using different materials and colourways, complimented with large scale graphics and images to magnify the brand. Of course, this is still enhanced with some playful or engaging elements unique to each exhibitor – this year we used Bowler hats and Solar Panels along the way – complimented with refreshments and light touches that create a welcoming space for stand personnel and clients alike.

The market challenges of Cyber and Geopolitical issues were high on the agenda and drove specific promotion on many booths. And even though this is predominantly the French Risk market, Global reach is always promoted heavily, re-enforcing client’s capacity and reach.  

AMRAE has long found its natural home in Deauville. This pretty seaside town, out of season, provides a perfect environment for the exhibition space; its many fantastic restaurants enable the conversations and connections to continue into the night, long after the exhibition hall has closed. We look forward to AMRAE 2025!
