The British Insurance Awards are rapidly approaching and following much deliberation, the wait is finally over, and the shortlisted finalists have been revealed. Having branded the Awards for event host Incisive for the last seven years, the ceremony has evolved into the most prestigious Insurance Awards event in the calendar. Reflecting this prestige with memorable branding is an annual challenge that we always look forward to.
From Paparazzi to Pop Art, Headline Acts to Heavyweight Boxing… and even a Reservoir Dogs pastiche, our approach to the yearly theme has always been to create something very distinctive, memorable and, of course, engaging.
With the awards being so renowned, the event itself is also a celebration, a coming together of the best in the Insurance industry to enjoy an evening of acknowledgement and appreciation. This was the driving force behind our branding this year, “C’mon Everybody”, featuring a 1950s style jukebox as the visual centrepiece at the Royal Albert Hall. Anyone who has been to the event can attest that music really is a focal point of the evening, therefore the jukebox made a lot of sense. That and the typography have real feel-good connotations, suggesting that this year will be another memorable and enjoyable event, and we certainly hope so!
Thus far, our branding has been applied across all the promotional activities including the BIA website, Insurance POST wraps and adverts. On the evening itself, the branding will be visible on street banners approaching the Royal Albert Hall, at the entrances, on all the programmes, table plans and animated graphics on the main stage – we hope it proves popular.
We can’t help falling in love with Swifty’s shortlist announcement video each year, and this year is no exception! Watch it here.
As the award ceremony’s “Design Partner”, we’ll take a bit of centre stage again on their most prestigious of events – so, in the words of the King, thank you, thank you very much Incisive! It’s always great to see so many of our clients attend what is always such a fantastic night and we wish the best of luck to all those nominated. We’ll no doubt be reporting live during the evening via the inevitable Twitter wall and will share our thoughts soon after right here on our blog.
