After what feels like a lot longer than 2 years, we are delighted to be ramping up our preparations for this year’s AMRAE conference. Taking place in Deauville from February 2^nd – 4^th this year marks AMRAE’s 29^th  conference, we will once again be on-hand at the event, helping our clients engage with prospects, while sharing insights into their new products and initiatives for 2022.

With last year’s annual AMRAE conference cancelled along with many others due to Covid-19, it feels good to be starting off 2022 with a bang, and (fingers crossed) a return to normality for events this year. Along with presenting an opportunity to share insights, products and services, AMRAE 2022 is also an ideal time to take stock and consider the key risks which are likely impact businesses over the next 12 months. Allianz’s recently released risk barometer which collates the insights of more than 2,650 risk management experts, has identified cyber, business interruption and natural disasters as the leading risks for organisations during 2022.

With the beginning of the pandemic nearing it’s 2 year anniversary, during that time its impact upon society and business has become steadily clearer. This is perhaps most apparent when looking at data dealing with cyber risks where the number of attacks have surged, with criminals carrying out increasingly sophisticated attacks and taking advantage of remote working vulnerabilities. Alongside the growing risk posed by cyber, the uncertainty caused by the pandemic is still set to impact businesses throughout 2022 – with the supply chain disruption crisis set to continue well into the latter half of the year. Taking these factors into account, the key subjects we’re interested to hear more about at this year’s conference include climate change, ESG, cyber and supply chains.

This year’s event programme contains a number of thought-provoking seminars covering everything from ERM to compliance, but as always we’re most looking forward to being a part of the conversations and debates that take place outside of these sessions.
