An ancient name, a contemporary logo

The brief
DUAL Corporate Risks created Tamesis DUAL, a specialty excess of loss reinsurance business in 2011. Encouragingly, Tamesis were open to a contemporary, colourful visual identity that lent itself to impactful application across digital media. Tamesis had no great need for lots of marketing material so the logo needed to make quite an impression.

The solution
Sometimes, the most obvious route is the best one – Tamesis is the ancient name for the river Thames, so we suggested several logos that played on this link. The logo chosen referenced both the Thames association and also suggested an engaging and passionate business.

The result
A logo 'does not make a business' but if you want to make a splash (no pun intended!) in a crowded marketplace, then an eye-catching visual identity certainly helps. As the business grows, the logo will give it plenty of opportunities for colourful and distinctive solutions across exhibition, event and advertising platforms.
