Challenge

With conferences booked in at Sibos and EuroFinance in global locations including Dubai, Barcelona, Boston and Budapest, RBS required stands that needed to have the ‘wow’ factor, look sophisticated and be architecturally dynamic to stand out and attract delegates.

Solution

We focused on designing an inviting and welcoming space for their team to meet, greet and ‘do’ business. We sourced and incorporated high quality materials into our design to extend the brand personality and used local design influences to create points of distinction from the competition.

Results

The resulting ergonomic designs spoke for themselves with many RBS staff widely regarding their stands as having 'raised the bar'. The stands incorporated meeting rooms, a kitchen, storage space and a focused bar and counter area. The stand design really reflected their status as lead sponsor.

Building our understanding

It is vital that we understand why our clients are exhibiting, who they are trying to engage with and how they want to engage with them. We then need to combine this with an understanding of the venue, the layout of the other stands near by, the footfall, the focal points of the conference, the lighting etc. Basically anything that will affect the experience for a delegate, or influence the designs that we put forward.

Filling the senses

An exhibition stand is so much more than the wood that provides the structure. The right stand can say so much about your brand. The market conditions at the time called for a calm presence which subtlety conveyed security and trust and we achieved this by selecting high quality materials.

Making decisions

We always consider multiple layouts, designs and solutions for clients. Sometimes one is absolutely on the mark, sometimes clients pick elements from a number of designs. At every step we consult, advise and challenge our clients until we collectively feel we have made the best decisions.

Facilitating interactions

The completed exhibition stands for each event really worked. They encouraged visitors, provided options for where the conversations could take place and ultimately helped the RBS team build new relationships and solidify existing ones.
